                Biography


Ratan Tata is a shy person, the false shine of society does not believe in the brilliant, for years, there are living in Bachelor flat in a book and dogs in Kolaba district of Mumbai. He was the president of Tata Group from 1991 to 2012. On December 28, 2012, he left Tata Group's president, but he still remains the president of the Tata Group's Charitable Trust. He was also president of all major companies of Tata Group, such as Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata T, Tata Chemicals, Indian Hotels and Tata Teleservices.                    Career


Before returning to India, Ratan worked some time in Jones and Amon in Los Angeles, California. He started his career with Tata Group in 1961. In the early days, he worked on Tata Steel's shop floor. After that he is associated with Tata Group and companies. In 1971, he was appointed director director in National Radio and Electronics Company (Nelco). In 1981, he was made the president of Tata Industries. In 1991, JRD Tata left the post of the group and made Ratan Tata as his successor.

Tata group touched the new heights under the leadership of Ratan. Tata Consultancy Services issued public issued by Tata Consultancy Services and Tata Motors was listed in the New York Stock Exchange. In 1998, Tata Motors presented the first completely Indian passenger car - Tata Indica. After that Tata T. Tetley, Tata Motors acquired 'Jaguar Land Rover' and Tata Steel 'Chorus', which increased a lot in the Indian industry of Tata Group. Tata Nano - The world's cheapest passenger car - is also the result of the only thinking of Ratan Tata.

On December 28, 2012, he retired from all executive responsibilities of Tata Group. His location was 44-year-old Cyrus Mistry. Although Tata has now retired, he is still engaged in work. Recently, he has made his personal investment in India's e-commerce company Snapdeal. Along with this, he has also invested in another e-commerce company Urban Ladar and Chinese Mobile Company Joshomi.

Currently Ratan is the retired president of the Tata Group. Along with this, he has also remained the president of Tata Sons 2 Trusts.

Ratan Tata has played an important role in many organizations along with India. He is a member of the Prime Minister's Business and Industry Council and National Manufacturing Council. Ratan is also a director on the board of many companies.



          Honor and awards



Government of India honored Ratan Tata by Padma Bhushan (2000) and Padma Vibhushan (2008). These honors are the third and second highest civilian honors of the country. Other remarkable prizes are as follows:-
